California man arrested for stealing Taco Bell card from Ninja Turtle

When your fingers are used to turning toothpaste into a tablet, your hand no longer tends to be near the power switch.

The extra facial hair didn’t help John McFakeson’s resume, either. The 25-year-old Californian man, who goes by the alias Ninja Turtle on social media, was arrested by police for wearing a disguise as a member of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, lying that he was a Ninja Turtle — and stealing a Taco Bell employee’s Taco Bell card.

According to the American Fox News, Oakland police told the paper that officers took a report on Friday at about 5:30 p.m. for a suspicious person in downtown Oakland. Officers had previously been made aware of McFadden’s true identity, and following the report, police tracked him down near the ABC building. When he saw police entering the building, he ran and was captured soon after.

Once arrested, he led police to several Taco Bell registers where he claimed that he had swiped the card belonging to the Taco Bell employee he had stolen from earlier that day. Police say the taco master was in possession of the stolen cash when they caught up with him.

It is unclear whether McFadden found tattered Ninja Turtle action figures in his possession.
